Michelle Blakes and her family moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area in 2004, from southern California; where she worked as a legal assistant in a Riverside, California environmental law firm. After leaving the firm, Michelle focused on achieving her Texas real estate license and soon started her career as a REALTOR® working with Century 21 Judge Fite Company in Mansfield, Texas. Michelle worked successfully representing buyers and sellers in residential sales until an opportunity to work as a legal assistant in a real estate litigation practice group came about in 2007. It was during this time that Michelle learned the ins and outs of the legal aspects of real estate transactions from delinquent tenant/landlord agreements and mortgage defaults to trustee auctions. In the past two years, Michelle has focused her real estate career on providing property valuation products to various financial institutions as well as representing buyers/sellers in distressed property situations. Michelle believes that on-going education in the real estate industry is vitally important, and has achieved industry designations such as SFR (Short Sale Foreclosure Resource Specialist) and TAHS (Texas Affordable Housing Specialist) and is a member of NABPOP (National Association of Broker Price Opinion Providers).
She has been a resident of Arlington, Mansfield and Midlothian, Texas; accumulating an intimate knowledge of these communities and a wealth of information to share with her clients.
